Here’s to 2022!
Our Board, staff, and our entire team at the South Sound CARE Foundation want to thank you for your support this last year. With your help we have touched the lives of many individuals with cancer, giving them a chance for a longer and better life.
There is a great deal to do in the future, with so many people needing better options for treatment in our community. We are building an organization with our community to grow those opportunities.
We want to take a few moments though to remind you in the New Year to take care of yourself.
Here are a few suggestions:
If you have not received a Covid or flu vaccine, get it! It does save lives, your life perhaps, and those you are close to.
Ladies, get your annual mammogram.
Men, if you have a family history of prostate cancer, or if your doctor advises it, get the PSA test.
Make sure you are up to date in colon cancer screening, there are several good ways to get screened. Talk to your doctor.
Eat Healthy: lots of veggies, keep the alcohol under control, if you eat meat get wild or range-fed.
Exercise: be active every day, walk, hike, run, do yoga, stretch. Whatever you like, but be active.
Smile, laugh, and love-that’s what my patients say toward the end of life, love gives meaning to us.
Thanks for sharing your love and commitment with CARE.
Warmest wishes for 2022,
Dr. Frank Senecal
