In December, our CARE team had the privilege of attending the Pierce County Medical Society’s annual holiday meeting for a very special reason. Our esteemed South Sound CARE Foundation Founder, dedicated oncologist, and trusted friend to so many, Dr. Frank Senecal, had been nominated by his peers for the prestigious 2024 Community Service Award.

As Dr. Senecal stood surrounded by friends, colleagues, and our team, he received the award followed by a standing ovation—a heartfelt tribute to the profound impact he’s had on patients, medical professionals, and our community alike.

Since founding CARE in 2008, Dr. Senecal has been a driving force behind transformative treatments, expanded research, and compassionate care in the South Sound. His unwavering dedication to patients and his ability to inspire those around him continue to shape the future of cancer care in our region.
