Update on Georgia, an Amazing CARE Patient

We are excited to share an update on an incredible CARE patient, Georgia! 

We first shared about Georgia several months ago and are thrilled to report that she continues to be in good health! 

Georgia was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 and joined CARE's Felin Breast Cancer Study in 2018. The trial that Georgia participated in introduced a unique drug combination prior to surgery for breast cancer patients with ER-positive, HER2-negative early breast cancer. Typically, patients directly go to surgery. 

Today, Georgia is cancer-free! She spends the majority of her time in Hawaii and also enjoys traveling to Utah, Alaska, and Washington to see family. 

"My life has changed; I think for the better. I try to travel as much as I can afford, I’m retired so I’m free to come and go when I want. I realized that every day is a gift and each moment counts. I’m a very fortunate lucky lady and if I hadn’t gotten cancer when and where I did I would never have met Jodi Thiel (CARE team member), who I consider a special person in my life!" Georgia said.
