Dr. Senecal is a Medical Oncologist with a clinical focus on breast cancer. He has board certifications in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology. He received high honors from Indiana University undergraduate and medical school and completed his internship and residency at the University of Washington. He is currently the Director of Oncology for the Franciscan Healthcare System and the founder of the South Sound CARE Foundation. Former appointments include: Chief of Staff at St. Joseph’s and St. Francis Hospitals, Medical Director of Hospice of Tacoma, and Chairman of the Department of Medicine at St. Francis Hospital.

Dr. Senecal is active in cancer treatment research and has published numerous scientific articles in the field. In 2012, Dr. Senecal won the Patients’ Choice Award and was voted as one of the top ten doctors in the region. His compassionate nature and vision to expand clinical trials are the roots that allowed the South Sound CARE Foundation to flourish. In his spare time, Dr. Senecal enjoys hiking, cycling, and spending time with his wife of 28 years and their five children.
